The story of Aleks Steen’s family business

We believe that being a family-owned business with close, daily dialogue regarding operations is an additional strength. We are three dedicated leaders—two brothers and a brother-in-law—who have collaborated at Aleks Steen ApS for over 20 years. Our combined experience and close cooperation make the company strong across many fronts.

We took over the company through a generational transition in 2004 from Aleks Steen, who founded the machine factory in 1978. Back then, the company started in a 30 m2 space in the village of Hem; today, we occupy more than 3,500 m2 of modern and functional facilities in Skanderborg.

Over the years, the staff has likewise grown from a single person to 31 employees today, and we have expanded from 1 to 30 CNC machines.

Together, we three owners have over 90 years of experience, so customers can be pleased that the company continues to be run according to the same quality principles as under Aleks Steen’s leadership.
